Detailing considers things like embedded contamination, swirl marks, surface scratches and rectifying faded paint. JM Detailing is a bespoke mobile detailing service, giving islanders access to a Master Detailer at their convenience. Whether it's at your home, storage facility or even your office carpark, JM Detailing has you covered. The core of JM Detailing and the reason the business exists is passion, not just for rare or exotic cars, but all cars... and the services offered by JM Detailing are available for all cars.
I've always been a keen weekend detailer spending hours on my own cars, but in 2021 I completed an IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry)
recognised Master Detailer training course in the UK. I noticed that Islanders could benefit from a fresh take on detailing: a mobile Master Detailer.
A skilled detailer, proving a professional yet personal service, to their door.
Now a qualified master detailer, my focus is to help people enhance, protect and fall back in love with their cars no matter their age or value.
I strive to continually develop my skills, the quality of products I use and overall, the service I can provide to my clients.

To ensure all clients get the best possible results, things are kept simple.
Detailing is about using top quality products, machinery, tools, processes and techniques to get the best results.
This isn't achievable without taking the time to care for your car properly. Offering multiple levels in pricing
and service can leave people confused at what they need or frustrated with the end result - that's the opposite of what I set out to do.
However, I know not every client will want (or need) their car to be clay bar'd, machine polished or ceramic coated. That's why I offer
paint enhancement and ceramic coating as an add on to both the Full Exterior & Interior detail, or the Full Exterior detail.
It's all down to the condition of the car and each client's individual needs.

The prices for each service have been worked out to give clients the best value for their money.
Each service has an estimated timeframe but this will be discussed with each client individually to ensure each job produces the finest results.

Full Exterior
Wheels and arches cleaned. Snow foam and hand washed (with door shuts cleaned). Exterior glass cleaned. Car dried using high quality microfibre drying towels and a blower, wax or sealant is applied with the tyres and exterior plastics dressed.

Rubbish and personal items removed (rubbish binned and personal items stored safely).
All interior hoovered (including the boot) *. Matts hovered and deep cleaned.
Interior trim cleaned and treated. Interior glass cleaned. Seats cleaned (method of cleaning dependant on the condition, age and wear of fabrics or leather).
Carpets deep cleaned if required.
*Please note and additional charge will be incurred for excessive pet hair or stain removal.
Maintenance
Only available to previous clients. To ensure an accurate maintenance detail is carried out, I need to know the paint and coating condition before starting work.

Paint Enhancement and Ceramic Coating
Paint enhancement: Following the clay bar process the car will be machine polished,
removing any surface swirls and scratches. This will bring back the gloss and depth of the paint.
All paint requirements are different. The level of cut and polishing will be discussed with the client before any work is undertaken.
Ceramic Coating: Providing your newly polished car with the best possible protection.
I can offer specific ceramic coatings that can be applied outside and are quick curing, but the ceramic coating stage is generally for
those clients that keep their cars in specific garages or storage units. Please get in touch to discuss the right solution for your car.

Are you insured?
Yes, JM Detailing has public liability insurance that covers all of the work the business carries out, putting your mind at ease.

What makes you a 'Master Detailer'?
I've always had a passion for detailing, having detailed my own cars for years but I've also completed an IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) recognised Master Detailer trainer course.

Do you carry out pre-detail inspections?
Yes. Before starting any work on the exterior or interior of a vehicle I do a full walk around making note of any scuffs, deep scratches, stains or areas that could cause problems when carrying out any detailing work.

Which products and brands do you use?
At present I’m using a combination of Carpro and Koche Chemie to ensure my clients’ cars are treated with top quality products.

Do you sell detailing products?
I would be more than happy to discuss any/all of the products used in any service, but I don't sell products directly to clients.

Can you come and inspect cars before jobs are booked?
Absolutely. Although I look over every car before starting any work, if you're unsure of what you might need, or are looking for a bespoke service, I would be happy to view your car and discuss the best steps before you book in.

Are you able to carry out detailing work in areas that do not have direct access to power and
water?
I am indeed. There will be a small additional charge in situations where there is no access to both power and water. If this is a service you need, please get in touch and I will work out the best solution for you. Unfortunately, due to covid supply delays and the Christmas break I will be unable to provide a solution for 'no access to power and water' until further notice.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. You'll see when processing with and paying for a booking that you acknowledge the following: Any cancellations with 24 hours of the booked time slot will incur a 50% charge.
